Eltek Valere specializing in the provision of highly efficient power systems announced the addition of new 48VDC 1,500W and 2,000W rectifiers to its line of V Series rectifiers.
Company sources said that the V Series rectifiers form the core of Eltek Valere’s (News - Alert) Compact DC Power System and Integrated DC Power System. These systems have been installed in several wireless and remote terminal telecom locations across the world.
In a release, the company’s vice president of sales for North America, David Leal, stated, “As carriers build out their wireless and wireline networks and push more functionality to the outside plant, having high power HE rectifiers will help them to manage their operating expenses while providing increased services.”
“These new rectifiers will help keep the best-selling Compact and Integrated DC Power Systems extremely relevant to carriers for years to come,” he said.
The rectifiers are based on Eltek Valere’s high-efficiency (HE) technology and are capable of providing up to 96 percent (peak) efficiency enabling an ideal compact high-efficiency power solution for new customers. The existing V Series customers can go for the drop-in replacement modules that can reduce the power wasted during the AC-DC power conversion process in half, added company sources.
The new units are only 2RU high like the existing 1,000W V Series HE rectifiers. As the rectifiers feature high power density more space is available in outside plant cabinets which can be used to locate more service-generation equipment at customer premises.
Eltek Valere’s Compact and Integrated DC Power Systems incorporating the new rectifiers will be able to provide up to 240A and 600A of power and greater efficiency cost effectively while also being a green solution.
Company officials revealed that these new V Series rectifiers are capable of operating in a wide range of AC input voltage options (100V to 240V). They also feature vertical airflow and high operating temperature rating for outdoor applications. For wireless applications a 24V, 1,500W version of the rectifier is also provided by Eltek Valere.
Eltek Valere recently announced that its flagship Flatpack2 high efficiency (HE) rectifier product line has reached a milestone of 200,000 units installed worldwide, as reported in TMCnet.
