Phoenix College Offering "Green" Wireless Course

Through a recent press release, the training company AmeriSkills announced that as a part of its "Green" training programs, it is going to offer "Wireless" and "Solar Installation" training at the Downtown campus of Phoenix College on April 18.

Called the "Green" Wireless Training course, this training program reportedly encompasses all corporations' wireless needs and the new platforms for the telecommunication workers in Arizona.

The 40-hour program covers the areas such as Wi-Fi Technology, standards and certifications, hardware, software, radio frequency fundamentals, site surveying, installation, various applications, security and troubleshooting.

According to Phoenix College, this training program, which is designed to make individuals eligible for the employment in the telecom or other businesses in one short week, will significantly contribute toward its efforts at offering job placements and helping Arizona workers find good quality jobs.

On the successful completion of the course, the students will receive CWTS (Certified Wireless Technician Specialist) certification. Offered by the Certified Wireless Network Professionals (CWNP) the CWTS certificate is considered the gold standard in wireless technology certification. According to the press release, this is the only entry level certification recognized by the telecom industry and businesses as a whole.

Smart and green wireless networking is on the rise and in a major stride, the infrastructure is fast adopting wireless technology with Wi-Fi and Wi-Max applications to replace the copper infrastructure in the home and business. This shift toward wireless infrastructure will eliminate the needs for manufacturing, installing and maintaining thousands of miles of copper cables. Thus, the new program makes an extremely well-timed initiative.

Phoenix College - Downtown has other major "GREEN" training programs relating to Solar Training Installation, Home Energy Audit and LEED GA training.

Aspirants with basic networking experience/training are welcome to enroll for the training course, AmeriSkills noted in the release.
