E3 Greentech and AT&T Provide Wireless Access for Home Energy Management



Homeowners and property managers will be now able to optimize their energy use with the E3 Greentech’s Intelligent Bridge located in homes, as it will now be provided wireless access. Homeowners and property managers will now be able to automatically reduce energy waste, according to the company.

An agreement to provide this wireless access has been announced by AT&T (News - Alert) and E3 Greentech. By late summer of 2011, the wirelessly connected system will be made available.

Home Energy Management System or HEMS is one of the most innovative solutions delivered by E3 Greentech to the smart grid market technology. Saving results are delivered effortlessly by HEMS.

Cloud-based services and intelligent software are utilized by HEMS in combination with in-home energy optimization hardware for the same. Property owners can more effectively monitor and manage energy consumption with HEMS. Energy wastage is therefore reduced automatically.

Adaptive software and techniques which can learn and dynamically optimize energy usage as per consumer behavior are also used by the E3 solution. By reducing energy waste, energy savings of at least 15 percent are delivered by the smart grid technology. At least 25 percent reduction in peak energy demand is also ensured. E3 acts in sync with a consumer's lifestyle by dynamically optimizing energy use.

In a release, Glenn Lurie, president of emerging devices, resale and partnerships at AT&T said, "AT&T looks for opportunities to provide cost saving initiatives for our customers and E3 Greentech is doing just that by providing its customers with welcomed energy savings. We look forward to working with E3 Greentech on E3 Intelligent Bridge."

According to Greg Chambers, CTO of E3 Greentech, the organization is excited about being able to take the smart grid wireless. The organization is confident about AT&T's wireless network. Homeowners, property managers and utilities will be delivered E3’s next generation services through this network.
