Mongolian Consultant Engaged by GTSO Rare Earth JV

Green Technology Solutions or GTSO and Mongolia’s Rare Earth Exporters or REE have collaborated to expand rare earth production. They will also be exporting this production from Mongolia. A Mongolian native, Batpurev Tsend-Ayush is an exploration and mining consultant. The joint venture has brought him on board to analyze the mineral content of rare earth mining properties. These properties have been optioned by GTSO and REE.  The two companies will be helped by the consultant to analyze new mineral reports.

In a release, John Shearer, CEO and President of GTSO said “On Monday, the joint venture signed a letter of intent to develop a new licensed rare earth mine in Mongolia’s Tuv province, so we need Batpurev Tsend-Ayush to begin analyzing mineral reports from the new site as soon as possible.”

Shearer added that the company is already in negotiations regarding other rare earth mining properties in Mongolia. Batpurev’s expertise is therefore being heavily relied upon.

In order to acquire rare earth mining claims and operations in Mongolia, a joint venture was formed between GTSO and REE in February. In the last 20 years, there has been a sharp increase in the manufacturing demand for the critical materials. During the same period, export quotas from the world’s largest rare earth producer, China have also reduced. Prices and supply concerns have therefore increased. The joint venture is developing new rare earth production in Mongolia. Essential rare earth supplies for manufacturers in the U.S., Japan, South Korea and elsewhere will be therefore secured with this joint venture.

In the release, Shearer said, “LED light bulbs, emerging solar panels, and wind-turbine generators are just a few of the green technologies that depend upon rare earth elements. If the U.S. and its allies are unable to procure rare earths for manufacturing, we will be unable to match the green tech innovations developed in China.”

According to Shearer, Batpurev will help the two companies uncover Mongolia’s vast deposits of these elements and eliminate that possibility.
