The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of the People's Republic of China has certified Print-Rite Unicorn Image Product of Zhuhai, a wholly owned subsidiary company by Print-Rite Holdings (Print-Rite), as the first pilot remanufacturing enterprise in the office information equipment segment.
In a press release, Arnald Ho, chairman and founder of Print-Rite, said, “Once again, this certification acknowledges Print-Rite as the pioneer and leader of remanufacturing industry. It's our great honor to have the certification from the ministry and it is a clear testament of Print-Rite's continuous dedication and contribution to the industry.”
There were totally 13 remanufacturers in different segments have been certified as pilot remanufacturing enterprises in the first batch. Print-Rite Unicorn Image Product is the first in the office information equipment segment being certified as the pilot remanufacturing enterprise.
According to the direction of MIIT, energetically developing remanufacturing industry is a key way to actualize recycling industry, efficient use of energy, reduction of emission and sustainable development.
The ministry launched this certification program of pilot remanufacturing enterprise to promote and encourage the development of remanufacturing industry actively by certifying qualified companies from different industry segments among the nation. The core objective of the program is to build the society where energy-saving and environment conservation is highly valued.
Print-Rite was in news recently when its subsidiary ICMI China had announced a next generation of new toner made from bio-organic material for original equipment makers' office and desktop printers.
The new bio-toners were co-developed by ICL, a subsidiary of Print-Rite Holdings, together with an independent research company based in North America. According to the company, the bio-toners reduce dependency on foreign oil; stabilizes the cost of toner raw materials as oil prices rise and; reduces CO2 emissions from toner production.
