In an effort to make its mobile technology solutions more energy efficient, Pyro recently forged a strategic alliance with IBM. Under the alliance, IBM (News
- Alert) will be powering Pyro's range of products with high-end energy-efficient servers, highly-efficient hardware and optimized middleware solutions.
Under the agreement, IBM’s energy-efficient BladeCenter Servers, SAN (Storage Area Network), Switches and Routers will be used in Pyro’s ranges of mobile technology solutions. As a result of the integration of IBM technology, the Pyro customers will see instant results, Pyro officials claimed in a press release. According to Pyro, telecom operators will come to experience instant benefits from the solutions’ cost-reducing capabilities.
According to Pyro, it has made a conscious effort to move on to an eco-friendly mode of operation. As a part of this effort, the company deployed resources that leverage green technology and also ensure that customers get the benefits of this technology from all the platforms and products deployed at clients’ sites. All components used for deployment of a Pyro product or solution are checked for the carbon footprint created while manufacturing the product, the company revealed.
“Pyro has ensured linear scalability of systems without increasing the power and cooling requirement linearly. Pyro's Road Map is also to work with partners such as IBM on solutions which will work in all environments and lead to optimization of data center footprint besides ensuring optimal system design” said SM Reddy, CEO of Pyro Group. He also added that Pyro's products and solutions ensure optimized and highly efficient hardware, energy-efficient software, reduced footprint on the data center, less heat generation, less power consumption, involvement of lesser resources and human intervention, and more.
This is not the first time Pyro is collaborating with IBM. Last year, the company forged a $19 million strategic partnership with IBM for development, testing and management of its products and solutions.
