MacSolutions Plus Stores Offer Electronic Recycling Service

As an official member of the eWASTE Alliance Partner Network, MacSolutions Plus will be accepting old electronic devices such as VCRs, fax machines and printers for recycling.

MacSolutions Plus’ official drop-off locations include Eastern Hills Mall and West Seneca in New York. The company will be recycling these items without charging any fees.

In response to the New York State Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act coming into effect on April 1, 2011, electronic equipment covered within the service includes computers, televisions, small scale servers, monitors, keyboards and mice, fax machines, printers/scanners, cell phones, VCRs, DVRs, portable digital music players, DVD players, digital converter boxes, cable or satellite receivers, and electronic or video game consoles.

In a release, Garret Cleversley, owner and president of MacSolutions Plus, said, “Our customers are always looking for hassle-free ways to get things done – that’s why they buy Macs. This new service is just one more way we can help our customers.”

With immediate availability of the recycling service from MacSolutions Plus, consumers can drop off the equipment at any of the convenient location from Monday to Saturday, while the service will remain open for a half day on Sundays. In case businesses need some special premium services such as direct pickup, secure data destruction services and non-covered items, they can contact MacSolutions at 888-563-1340 or log on to the ewaste website.

As an independent Apple (News - Alert) specialist store in western New York, MacSolutions Plus offers Apple sales, support and consulting to business, education and residential customers. With stores in West Seneca, N.Y., and Clarence, N.Y. (at the Eastern Hills Mall), MacSolutions Plus serves a client base of 2,800 local clients offering services such as desktop computer set-up, maintenance and administration, system and network administration. Other services include consulting and technology planning, Internet service and hardware set-up and troubleshooting, onsite and in-store training, emergency response and preventative maintenance.

eWASTE alliance partners strive hard to raise awareness of eWaste and the potential hazards associated with improper disposal of electronics, and works toward promoting the cause by organizing innovative eWASTE collection program in the state with active participation from their customers and local communities.
