President Obama has recently found a strong corporate ally in VYCON. In a recent press release, VYCON, a pioneer in the area of flywheel energy storage technology, that offers a smarter, more reliable and greener approach to power protection, recently showered praises on President Obama, who is a passionate advocate of urgent adoption of green energy nationwide.
In the release, the manufacturer of REGEN flywheel systems for the heavy engineering sector, VYCON voiced strong support for the US president’s passion for vastly increasing the adoption of renewable energy and alternative energy technologies in the U.S., creating more jobs and lessening dependence on foreign oil.
According to President Obama’s speech at the State of the Union address on January 25, 2011, Congress has provided funding and extended significant tax credits which have helped to create green jobs and integrate green energy technologies across the nation. VYCON seemingly found the occasion ideal for making the announcement that it has created 15 new jobs with more planned in the coming year.
“The vision and support from President Obama and his administration to invest in more research and development, and to break down the barriers of alternative energy adoption is a major step forward for not only our economy, but for our quality of life. We're working closely with our customers to help them improve energy efficiencies and decrease carbon footprint by implementing innovative systems -- such as our clean energy storage solutions,” VYCON's President, Frank DeLattre said in a statement.
VYCON, with its environment-friendly flywheel systems, helping the companies, educational institutions, hospitals institutions and other organizations across the industries reduce carbon footprint in a smart way.
According to VYCON, its REGEN flywheel systems, used in regenerative power applications such as container cargo handling crane applications and light electric rail, reduce power and energy costs to port and rail operators as well as provide a reduction in greenhouse gasses.
The company’s VDC and VDC-XE flywheel systems are claimed to help data centers, hospitals, universities, broadcast studios and manufacturing plants around the globe to protect their critical computing processes and equipment from damaging and costly power outages.
VYCON's flywheel systems bring unprecedented power capacity for instantaneous and reliable power backup and provide a greener solution to uninterruptible power systems (UPSs) that are utilizing lead-acid batteries.
It should be mentioned here that over the past year, VYCON has received various industry accolades, product awards and was named to Inc. magazine's 500 List of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies in 2010.
“We support the forward-thinking direction of this administration. Supporting green technologies will not only help our climate, it creates jobs and keeps America competitive in the global market,” DeLattre echoed Obama in his statement.
Earlier this month, VYCON announced the shipping of its 300th flywheel system. Marking an important milestone for the company, VYCON's clean energy storage systems are deployed world-wide and provide unsurpassed power backup and power regeneration to mission-critical applications.
