Featuring built in electrical outlet and embedded power saving technology, both the new adapters can reduce power consumption by up to 70 percent in standby mode.

According to a press release, both the new adapters are ideal for products such as coffee makers, washing machines, microwaves, vacuums, and other household appliances that create electrical power spikes. Precisely, these adapters are ideal for use in buildings that interfere with wireless networking signals.

Both the adapters have been equipped with advanced electrical noise filter that maintains high performance signal strength. This helps in boosting the performance considerably. The high performance Gigabit Ethernet port provides fast access to the network.

The version 1.0R of the new TPL-402E, TPL-401E, is also a 500Mbps Powerline AV adapter that utilizes any electrical outlet to create a secure building-wide high-speed network. This adapter can be connected to the network. Users can connect one adapter to the network and plug another adapter into any outlet on the electrical system for instant high-speed network access.

According to TRENDnet (News - Alert), the new 500Mbps Powerline AV Adapter with Bonus Outlet creates a secure high-speed building-wide network from any electrical outlet. Users do not lose the use of an outlet when plugged in, because an additional electrical socket is built into the front of the adapter.

With these Powerline AV adapters, users can install up to 16 Powerline adapters in different rooms for building wide networking.

Both the new devices have been provided with LED displays that convey device status for easy power management and troubleshooting.

In addition, advanced AES encryption provided to the new devices helps in securing the network.
