Las Vegas Hotel Finds Comfort, Savings with Telkonet's SmartEnergy Installation

Telkonet, a clean technology company, claimed that its SmartEnergy is helping the Springhill Suites hotel on Paradise Road in Las Vegas ensure comfort and generate savings.

Utilizing the SmartEnergy installation, the hotel was able to expand its environmental awareness initiatives, save on energy and ensure guest comfort. The hotel acknowledged that the new installation is helping it reach its goal of a 25 percent decrease in energy and water consumption per available room by 2017. Telkonet's (News - Alert) proven energy savings and performance in the hospitality market was a key factor in choosing Telkonet SmartEnergy for the Las Vegas suite.

Telkonet SmartEnergy (TSE) is an intelligent, occupancy-driven in-room energy management system that uses a combination of occupancy sensors, along with intelligent programmable thermostats or PTAC controllers to improve energy efficiency, ensuring rooms are never excessively hot or cold when an occupant returns to the room.

Officials have acknowledged that rapid ROI and green energy savings prove that the SmartEnergy solution isn't only good for the environment, but it's a smart financial investment that pays for itself many times over, automatically and transparently. With 300 guest rooms and nine conference rooms totaling more than 4500 square feet of conference space, the Springhill Suites recognized a significant opportunity to manage its costs.

Hotels in U.S. spend a staggering $4 billion on energy, and Springhill realized that by efficiently managing its energy usage, it will be able to save a lot.

"We're thrilled with Springhill Suites' choice of Telkonet's SmartEnergy and look forward to maximizing savings and comfort for the hotel and its guests. This selection further demonstrates Telkonet's leadership in Hospitality energy management and our superior savings and benefits," said Jeff Sobieski, COO for Telkonet, in a release.

Telkonet claimed that its platform is currently installed in several hundred thousand rooms throughout the world and across most major hospitality brands.
