Telkonet, a clean technology company, claimed that its SmartEnergy is helping the Springhill Suites hotel on Paradise Road in Las Vegas ensure comfort and generate savings.

Utilizing the SmartEnergy installation, the hotel was able to expand its environmental awareness initiatives, save on energy and ensure guest comfort. The hotel acknowledged that the new installation is helping it reach its goal of a 25 percent decrease in energy and water consumption per available room by 2017. Telkonet SmartEnergy (TSE) is an intelligent, occupancy-driven in-room energy management system that uses a combination of occupancy sensors, along with intelligent programmable thermostats or PTAC controllers to improve energy efficiency, ensuring rooms are never excessively hot or cold when an occupant returns to the room.
