Have Unwanted Electronics? There's Drop-Offs for That

Committed to a green world by encouraging responsible recycling practices, AERC Recycling Solutions is offering extended e-waste drop-off hours at its electronics processing Com-Cycle facilities, thus allowing users to dispose of their post-holiday unwanted electronics.

AERC will be providing extended dates following the holidays from Monday, Dec. 27 to Thursday, Dec. 30, with the locations remaining closed on Dec. 31 for New Year’s Eve.

In a release, Lindsay Landmesser, vice president of Sales and Marketing for AERC Recycling Solutions, said, “After the holidays, people are left to wonder what to do with their old or non-working electronics replaced by new gifts. The drop-off Friday program is a safe, responsible option to dispose of unwanted electronics.”

Other than the holiday season, individuals and business owners can recycle small quantities of end-of-life electronics at any AERC facility every drop-off Friday from 9 to 3, however, for larger quantities, users can schedule a pick-up or delivery date in advance.

The AERC has deployed multiple recycling facilities across major cities including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Texas and California. During the drop-off Friday Recycling program, small quantity electronic waste such as laptops, cell phones, cameras, hand-held games and gaming consoles, computer monitors, printers, scanners, CPUs, and other electronic equipment are accepted with the inclusion of lamps as well as batteries.

With specialization in electronic waste disposal, AERC Recycling adheres to a zero-waste-to-landfill policy for accepted electronics and ensures that all the data is completely destroyed that may be contained in collected data storage devices. AERC Recycling Solutions helps recycle electronics with sensitive data and components hazardous to the world’s environment, thus providing proper end-of-life management of client’s assets. Through its partnerships, AERC has emerged as an industry leading with the delivery of unmatched convenience, regulatory compliance as well as expert consulting on handling electronic waste issues.
