Enterprises are constantly seeking creative and innovative ways to reduce their energy consumption in keeping with their commitment to “go green” and help the environment. Cavet Technologies has been a leader in trying to help this cause.
Cavet Technologies, Inc., is a clean-tech company that brings innovative, intelligent lighting products to market, which maximize energy savings and provide industry leading returns on investment. Its flagship product, LumiSmart ILC, an intelligent lighting controller, has been applauded by the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) and the National Research Council-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). In addition, Cavet Technologies was declared winner of the 2010 Ontario Regional Awards for New Technology (News - Alert).
CME and NRC-IRAP selected Cavet as the New Technology award winner based on innovation excellence in the development and application of innovative new technologies.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Albert Behr, president and CEO for Cavet Technologies. “Our continued award accolades have helped generate an overwhelming interest in LumiSmart, a unique approach to energy conservation versus energy generation.”
LumiSmart ILC helps commercial and industrial customers dramatically reduce lighting costs by a minimum of 30 percent without replacing any existing lights, ballasts, or lighting infrastructure. It belongs to a new class of smart grid-enabled lighting controllers that help reduce power consumption by providing microprocessor-driven adaptive control. More importantly, it helps reduce carbon emissions by reducing energy consumption at the source itself, minimizing the strain on the electrical grid. As a result, there is a marked decrease in the greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere.
Right from the beginning, the focus of Cavet Technologies has been on attaining market leadership in the rapidly growing Cleantech lighting controls market, and has aligned itself with world-class manufacturing contractors as well as distribution partners locally and around the world. It has also signed distribution and reseller agreements in over 30 countries.
In a related news release, Cavet Technologies announced it was awarded “Company of the Year” by CleanTech North. The company was recognized for its accelerated growth outside of Canada. This expansion was attributed to LumiSmart ILC.
