BRIEF: Operation Green Shepherd suspect faces child porn charges in Manatee, Pinellas

MANATEE, Feb 01, 2013 (The Bradenton Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A man arrested during Operation Green Shepherd in September faces additional child pornography charges, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Roberto Delerme III, of Pinellas County, was taken into custody when he drove to Manatee County with the intention to have sexual intercourse with a minor and the minor's adult aunt after communicating with an undercover agent online.

A forensic examination of electronic items seized during the arrest revealed pornographic images and videos of the defendant and a child, according to the sheriff's office.

Delerme, charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, is being held at the Manatee County jail in lieu of bonds totaling more than $900,000.

Delerme will be charged with capital sexual battery and production of child pornography in Pinellas County.
