BRIEF: Fort Bliss soldier linked to global child porn ring

Aug 05, 2011 (El Paso Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A Fort Bliss soldier was among 72 people charged with participating in an international criminal network dedicated to sexually abusing children, and producing and disseminating child pornography throughout the world.

The soldier, Robert Cuff, was arrested July 15 by special agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In addition to the arrest, ICE agents also seized several computers and digital media that contained child pornography.

Cuff is accused of being a member of Dreamboard -- a private, members-only, online bulletin board that promotes pedophilia and encourages the sexual abuse of very young children in an environment designed to avoid law enforcement detection. To date, 52 of the 72 charged defendants have been arrested in the United States and abroad.

Members allegedly traded graphic images and videos of adults molesting children 12 years old and younger, often violently, federal officials said.
