Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC) celebrates its
90th anniversary and welcomes more than 100 government,
regulatory and safety organizations to discuss standards
development, sustainable product certification and
environmental claims validation for green products in
Canada. The event features interview and lab tour photo
opportunities as well as access to ULC and TerraChoice's
top thought-leaders on the future of green standards,
eco-labels and what they could mean for businesses,
WHAT: people and the environment.
Consumers and businesses are swarmed with "green" options
and have little guidance as to what "green" means and
which claims to trust. To help bring clarity and trust
to a confused marketplace, ULC is organizing a
comprehensive discussion of today's green labels and
standards, and what that means for human and
WHY: environmental safety in Canada.

Mr. Oughton can discuss the importance of standards
development and sustainable product certification to
ultimately provide clarity for a confused marketplace.

environmental claims validation and talk about the State
of Green in Canada.

as well as standards development. ULC Standards, ULC's
standards development arm, recently acquired leading
environmental organization TerraChoice to support the
proliferation of credible eco-labels and standards that
define green for countless consumer products.
