'Bitkom, ministry unveil green IT database project'

Jan 25, 2010 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- The German federal ministry for environment and German ICT federation Bitkom have unveiled a database for so-called green-IT solutions. The Green IT advisory office enables German businesses to find possible IT solutions that help them to reduce their energy use. The offered solutions are provided by ICT service providers and are currently divided in several categories like desktop services, network infrastructure, data centre infrastructure, training and advisory services, corporate solutions and software. Other categories will be added in the future. The database will be launched officially during this year's Cebit trade fair.
