Evergreen Energy's GreenCert Solution for Emissions Management Earns IBM Framework Validation
Nov 09, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Evergreen Energy Inc., a green energy technology solutions company, announced its GreenCert solution has been validated on IBM's Solution Architecture for Energy and Utilities (SAFE) framework and will be marketed across the globe.
IBM said its SAFE framework is the software technology backbone that makes a range of utility solutions possible by helping clients build a standards-based integrated platform for all of their operations across their energy value chain. This new framework brings the capabilities of IBM software; including WebSphere, Tivoli, Rational, Lotus and Information Management products, to power solutions across all areas of a utility company, including plant operations, smart meters and personal utility management. GreenCert addresses emissions management, an element within the business process automation project area of IBM's SAFE architecture.
"Our energy and utility company clients are seeking solutions that address current challenges and provide business agility in the future," said Jeff Smith, VP, Communications Sector Solutions, IBM Software Group. "The GreenCert solution, along with IBM's SAFE framework, is an example of how an accurate and scalable emission information management system can translate into smart energy solutions."
Evergreen Energy is a developer of proprietary, patented, and transformative green technologies: the GreenCert suite of software and services and K-Fuel. GreenCert, owned exclusively by Evergreen, is a scientifically accurate, scalable environment intelligence solution that measures greenhouse gases and generates verifiable emissions credits.
