ASRC Federal Breaks Ground for New Facility
Jul 03, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
ASRC Federal Holding Company broke ground for a 27,000 square-foot facility in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, Ala.
Construction will begin in July and is expected to be completed in April 2010.
The new building will be located adjacent to the headquarters of Analytical Services, (ASI), which was acquired by ASRC Federal in 2007. The new building will expand ASI's Huntsville campus and will provide local offices for two other ASRC Federal subsidiaries, ASRC Aerospace and ASRC Research and Technology Solutions (ARTS).
The new facility is expected to enable ASRC Federal and its subsidiaries to add about 100 jobs in the local area over the next two to three years.
"We are very excited to celebrate the start of our new facility and to expand our presence in the Huntsville community," said Carl Werner, president and CEO of ASRC Federal. "This building initiative has been a major priority for us. When this building is completed, we will have a facility that offers a great work environment for our employees and can expand to accommodate our future growth. Our investment will have positive local economic impacts, including new jobs, capital investments associated with the construction of the new facilities, and projected tax revenues from the property."
ASRC Federal Holding Company is a family of nine small businesses that provide engineering, information technology, management, professional and technical services to a broad range of U.S. federal government customers. The company is based in Greenbelt, Md., and has about 4,600 employees in the U.S. and overseas.
