Solectria Renewables Launches a Higher Efficiency Version of their 500 kW Smartgrid Inverter

The solar industry has been revolutionizing the way that we power the world to offer clean, renewable sources of energy that lead to a sustainable future. Now, one company has made an announcement that has the potential to revolutionize the solar industry. Solectria Renewables LLC can now lay claim to having the highest CEC efficiency and peak efficiency transformer on the market. At 97.5 percent CEC efficiency and 98.1 percent peak efficiency, the recently launched, higher efficiency version of the 500kW Smartgrid Inverter (SGI 500PE) holds great potential.


Solectria’s chief technology officer, Michael Zuercher-Martinson, said of the new version, "Higher-efficiency products translate into significantly greater energy production and cost savings over the lifetime of a system.” This new system will reduce costs, eliminate additional components and labor, increase safety, increase reliability, and simplify system design and installation.

Solectria is a grid-tied photovoltaic inverter manufacturer that offers residential, commercial, and utility-scale inverters. With solutions that range from 1kW residential systems to solar farms, the new version of the Smartgrid Inverter will complement the line and overall company mission well. Zuercher-Martinson stated, “Solectria continuously seeks to reduce our customers’ overall system costs by offer higher efficiencies. Our SGI inverter line delivers the highest level of performance, enabling the lowest levelized cost of energy in the solar industry today.”
