Satcon Technology Corporation, a premier provider of utility-scale power conversion solutions for the renewable energy market, entered into a Master Service Agreement with Borrego Solar, to provide 35 megawatts of industry leading utility-ready solar power solutions.
Borrego Solar is one of the nation's leading financiers, designers and installers of commercial and government grid-connected solar power systems. The company is pleased enter into a mutually beneficial partnership with Satcon.
Under the terms of this agreement, Borrego Solar will utilize the entire Satcon solution portfolio including PowerGate Plus, the world's most widely deployed utility-ready solution.
In addition to this, the company will also use Satcon Solstice, the industry's first complete system solution for utility-scale solar; Satcon Equinox, the next generation inverter solution with 98.5 percent efficiency and industry leading thermal operating range; and Satcon Prism Platform, a fully integrated multi-megawatt medium voltage solution optimized for utility-scale PV installations.
In a release, Aaron Hall, President of Borrego Solar who manages the national installer's procurement of major PV system components, said: "Borrego Solar only sources the highest quality products for its customers, and this supply commitment from Satcon ensures we'll have access to some of the most proven inverter technologies on the market when we need, and at competitive prices."

In related news, Satcon Technology Corporation has been selected for landmark 5 megawatt project by Arizona Western College. Officials with Satcon Technology said that in this direction the company has delivered five megawatts (MW) of its PowerGate Plus and Solstice solutions to Arizona Western College to power a five megawatt installation distributed across the college campus.
