Many companies are looking for ways to decrease and control energy costs as energy prices get out of control. It is a trend that is also creating a great deal of interest in renewable-energy options. Wind power is a rapidly developing alternative energy segment. It offers an attractive cost structure relative to other alternative energy and distributed generation solutions, such as cogeneration and solar power.

Sauer Energy, a company that is operating in the emerging renewable energy market, recently announced that the company’s WindCharger system has been welcomed to the ENRCOM test site in Mexico. The company has also developed a customized mounting system which will be attached to the communication towers throughout Mexico.

WindCharger system is a good solution for ENRCOM's requirement for an alternative that is highly inexpensive and an independent power source for both rural and metropolitan areas. According to SEI, the WindCharger system's performance and versatility will make it a suitable product for residential and small buildings all over Mexico as well, the company stated in a press release.

“ENRCOM has moved into field deployment. Following the expected successful results of the testing, the large scale utilization of the WindCharger will begin as they are used to generate and maintain power for communication towers throughout Mexico. It is our expectation that thousands of WindCharger turbines will become a familiar site atop towers across the country, keeping everyone connected," commented Dieter Sauer, CEO and president of SEI.

Recently, the company announced that it had signed its first 25 local distributor partners for sales and installations. WindCharger is a wind turbine that produces power at as little as 5-mph (2.2 m/s). The company is now selecting applications for local distributors in North America as it starts to ramp up its plans for high rate production. The company is committed to being a driving force and work proactively to enhance and support the distribution network.
