Smart technologies and smart systems are enabling water companies globally to provide a new approach to the way water is measured, managed and conserved. To this end, Sensus has introduced the iPERL smart metering endpoint that extends beyond the boundaries of North America.
“The iPERL is the cornerstone of our solution for enabling global smart water networks,” said Peter Mainz, CEO and president at Sensus, in a press release. He added, “The technology has been proven in deployments across North America.”
This version of the iPERL endpoint replaces the traditional meter and, according to company officials, turns the smart grid concept for water measurement and management into reality. It uses a specially designed flow tube and magnetic technology for the conservation of resources and improved detection of leaks.
Water utilities can collect and share data, monitor the system, reduce costs, enhance operational efficiency and transparency and extend whole-life performance.
The iPERL endpoint is available in various lengths and diameters so that it can be used not only in commercial but also in residential applications. It can be configured to meet the unique needs of global markets.
“Sensus continues to deliver solutions that enable water utilities to improve productivity, simplify operations and better manage water resources,” said Mainz.
