Milan-based Itatel, a 90-year-old business, is still demonstrating its innovation, depth — and yes, energy — as it broadens its reach to serve a new and growing market segment.
The company, which has specialized in the “seamless communication of people, devices, technologies, and networks” since 1921 — from telephony to digital communications and next-generation networking—has expanded its traditional customer solutions platform once again to create a total-support Energy Service Center at its Carini (Palermo) branch.
The Italtel Energy Service Center offers a variety of services to assist smart energy platform deployment and management, including:
- Renewable energy source monitoring—to provide information to smart building automation systems;
- Environmental monitoringin the areas of industrial safety and environmental sustainability — activities that are now economically feasible via wireless sensor network applications;
- Energy consulting, covering all phases of the efficiency process — audit, design, and implementation of efficiency measures, as well as energy upgrades and financing;
- Energy efficiency certificates — to support the procurement of white certificates, and
- Compliance checks — especially for government, in the execution of supply contracts and services.
Gianluca Renoffio, head of Italtel’s (News - Alert) Innovation Solution Selling Market Unit, Enterprise & Public Sector, commented, "As part of Energy Management , we know how to exploit our knowledge of networks, systems integration capability, and ICT competence to carry out projects covering the entire chain and focus on energy saving, cost optimization and control, efficiency and management simplification.”
The company offers advanced solutions using an ecosystem of technological and scientific partners including companies engaged in energy services, which have the task of certifying the reduction in consumption and of working with an FTT (funding through third parties) approach.
These solutions, which improve efficiency and management of buildings, work alongside the ability to build "green data center" solutions for public and private companies and to provide solutions to utilities for intelligent communication networks.
