A new range of powerline adapters have been announced by TP-LINK. According to the announcement made by the global provider of SOHO and SMB networking products, the new range of adapters will be showcased at CeBIT 2011. Energy savings of up to 75 percent will be offered by the adapters. The adapters are ideal for high demand usage as they feature a range of benefits from AC pass-through to speeds of up to 500Mbps.

One of the new powerline adapters introduced by TP-LINK is TL-PA251, the AV200+ Powerline Adapter with AC Pass-Through. The adapter has an integrated power socket along with an innovative design. TL-PA251 has connection speeds of 200Mbps over a distance of 300m. A high-demand home entertainment solution can be therefore delivered as additional devices or multiple sockets are able to connect through this adapter. Better powerline communication performance is obtained due to a mains filter. The adapter can be easily installed with no new wires or configuration needed.

The other adapter introduced is TL-PA511, the AV500 Mini Powerline Adapter. The highest performing consumer networking technology available is the TL-PA511 with speeds of up to 500Mpbs. This adapter is useful for high demand applications like streaming media, multimedia gaming and multiple HD video streams. Power saving technology is used by this new generation adapter to cut energy consumption. This is done by intelligently switching from "work" to "power saving" mode. This adapter can be easily installed with no need for new wires or configuration. The quality of bandwidth sensitive applications is assured with built-in QoS. IPTV (News - Alert) streaming is optimized as the adapter also supports IGMP managed multicast IP transmission.
