According to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) studies, levels of air pollution inside the home are often two to five times higher than outdoor levels. And poor indoor air quality is associated with a host of health problems, including eye irritation, allergies, headaches and such respiratory problems as asthma. But now you don’t have to be afraid to inhale. Stevensville, Maryland-based Nexus EnergyHomes, Inc., known for its green homes, is now offering the type of clean room technology typically used in manufacturing or research environments. Available now in a residential model, the system cleans the air in a room, to eliminate mold, radon, carbon monoxide, allergens, and toxic chemicals commonly found in homes.

In fact, according to the next-generation home developer, the Nexus Clean Air system eliminates 99.7 percent percent of harmful airborne contaminates and “is unlike any other air purification system on the market today,” due to advanced, green photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) technology and patent pending design. The company says that the two-chambered system can eliminate airborne contaminates down to .001 microns making the air circulating through the home much healthier.
